Background
Dr. Athanasios Toloudis studied dentistry at the Danube Private University in Krems (Austria). He subsequently completed the postgraduate Master of Science in Orthodontics at the same university, a six-semester specialist program with 90 ECTS.
At Resident he takes over the orthodontic care across the locations. His consultation days rotate primarily between Rapperswil-Jona, Berg, Küsnacht and Ermatingen. Patients from Winterthur or Zurich Bellevue are referred for orthodontic treatment to the suitable location, the general dentistry remains at the home location.
Clinical focus
His clinical focus includes fixed appliances (classic brackets and ceramic systems), Invisalign and comparable aligner systems as well as early treatments in children. Interdisciplinarily he works closely with Dr. Markus Franke and Dr. Dejan Dragisic when orthodontic pre-treatment is needed before implantological or prosthetic procedures, such as for gap opening, bite correction or preparation of a front tooth restoration.
